PDS10 Wiring Harness

MHE's PDS10 wiring harness will allow you to standardize your electrical system with modernized components. It eliminates about 80-90% of the wiring you'd have with a typical installation, and is completely weather proof, shock-proof, heat-proof, cold-proof, etc. In short, it's perfectly designed for the environment you work in, no matter how bad it is.

MHE's Multipower Pack (MPP) has several safety shutdown sensors on it. For example, if the hydraulic oil temp gets too hot (or too low) it will disengage. Or, if the air pressure gets too high...it will disengage. Additionally, the wiring harness provides manual over-ride switches for each of these sensors. This enables you to accomplish two things: (1) If a sensor trips and shuts the truck down, you can over-ride the sensor and still get the job done, and (2) because the switches are sensor specific, you can isolate exactly which sensor is causing the problem, making troubleshooting a snap.

Additionally, this harness is retro-fittable to all previous/older versions of the Multi-Power Pack, including the 3-N-1, and the PowerAll

Relay Control Board and Wiring Harness Specifications

Individual wires or multi-conductor cables in automotive shield loom. Additionally, all wiring in Multi-Power Pack shall be color coded and numbered, matching a highly-detailed wiring schematic, which shows all electrical functions relating the Multi-Power Pack to the cab & chassis electrical system. All relays shall be co-located in a single, weatherproof enclosure. Weatherproof relay-control board incorporates socket-mounted relays, and replaceable circuit protection capable of using ATO fuses or Type I, II, or III circuit breakers. All relays are pre-connected to the buss bar to provide +12 VDC outputs, and all are capable of being activated by using a ground (-) or positive trigger. All input connectors can be removed without removing any connections. All outputs have LED fault detection circuitry to assist with field trouble-shooting.

The MHE harness and cable conductors are properly sized for the current carrying requirements of each circuit. All wiring used in the MHE harness assemblies incorporate at a minimum GXL insulation to resist abrasion and chemical contamination. All terminations used within the cable assemblies have machine-crimped connections. The harness is protected by convoluted loom in critical areas to resist abrasions and provide protection for the wiring. All conductors used in MHE harness assemblies are copper stranded and comply with all SAE standards for automotive cables.

The main assembly shall be no larger than 7" wide x 8" long x 2" high. It shall function with an operating voltage of 9-16 VDC, with an output rating of 160 Amps, in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C).
